shabu shabu

Shabu Shabu is a traditional Japanese-style hot pot dish. All we need is a pot of boiling water, whatever ingredients you want (typically veggies), and a group of close friends. The best dish to enjoy with friends during a cold winter.

Ingredients:
1) Sliced Pork (or Beef)
2) Medium-Firm tofu
3) Enoki mushrooms
4) Shiitake mushrooms
5) Hakusai (Chinese cabbage)
6) Shirataki Noodles
7) Tokyo Negi (the big fat one yo!)
8) Cod (this kicks ass)
9) Shingiku (chrysanthimum leaves)
10) Daikon
11) Shichimi Togarashi (Japanese 7-spices)
12) Ponzu
13) Gomatare (seasame sauce)

Procedure:

1) Prepare the Momiji Oroshi dipping sauce. Add grated daikon (oroshi) and Shichimi Togarashi in Ponzu.
2) Add all the ingredients in a boiling pot of water.
3) Use Momiji Oroshi and Gomatare for dipping sauce. *Momiji Oroshi is typically used for the veggies, and Gomatare for the meat.
