I usually stop by the Kinokuniya bookstore on 6th ave. at least twice a week since I work close by. Every time I go there I check out the Japanese comics and fashion section to see what’s new. I have almost every T-shirt book out there and there was one book called TORSO which I have never seen. This book contains today’s street/casual tees. I liked the variety of styles so I bought it. There was one page with real simple designs which I really liked. Simple designs look very retro but I always feel like there’s a way to use retro aesthetics to apply to contemporary art (which is what I’m into).
