New drawing for ToMato. This time I emphasized on the (1) fashion, (2) wrinkles on the clothing, and (3) different posture. Still in the works. Still not too happy with the main character’s hairstyles. Long way to go…

ToMato Sketch #24 and 25: Perspective

Here are two new conceptual sketches for ToMato.

In these two sketches I tried to focus on drawing at different angles. In sketch #24 I tried to draw as seen from below (the laughing dude), and in sketch #25 I did the opposite, an aerial view (the girl in the front). I think it turned out alright for them being my first try.

Character design is also still in work, but it’s getting closer to what I am imagining them to be.

ToMato Sketch #22 and 23: New Character Look

In middle of character development for ToMato. But I am starting to like the new Summoner look. I decided to give him back the “ninja” look but gave him a slight urban look with the capri pants and sneakers. I just have to finish his hairstyle and I’m done. I was too lazy to color the shoes.

I also gave our heroine a new look. Initially her to develop a romantic relationship with the main character, but decided not to. Instead I wanted to give her more “character”. She looks more emo now, like how I initially intended. French Bulldog’s name is Maru.

Giving new outfits for Summoner. I also drew Luas, one of the main characters, for a change. I don’t smoke so it was kinda awkward drawing him :)

ToMato Sketch #18: Summoner With Ninja Look

For those who’ve been following the development of ToMato, I’m sure you noticed how frustrated with the character design for the Summoner, one of the main characters. All my characters are set to go except him. I wanted him to be like Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho or Toshiro Hitsugaya from Bleach. Well… not working too well. I initially gave him a ninja look, urban look, and now back to ninja. Let me know what you think.

I am really struggling with the design of the Summoner. I want to draw a young kid (age of 16) with summoning power on a mission to find the “monster” who killed his sister. Hmmm… your input is greatly appreciated.

I’ve been struggling with the Summoner’s look. I decided to give him a modern touch and away from the original ninja-like figure. Hmmm… what do you think? Oh, I also drew a French Bull dog.

I inked my sketch with pen and then colored using Photoshop. Just trying different style. Oh, and as you can tell, I’m still working on character development for the Summoner.
